This was my first visit and I'm so grateful I came. I live an hour away, but I came based off of someone's referral. This is an amazing practice!

I have already referred a friend and she has had a consultation. I am so grateful steinlauf agreed to treat me bc other drs just left me with staph infection in leg. Even the way he stitched my leg during surgery is nicer/smaller/less noticeable than other surgeon did it. He is a very gifted man.

He is a genius, practical, realist and gives the patient options; and, when mechanical/technical malfunctions interferes, he doesn’t abandone you, protects the hospital and staff and fixes the issues-

I initially came to see Dr. Steinlauf for a second opinion regarding a second ankle surgery, and I was so impressed by the thoroughness of his exam, the amount of time he spent with me, and his level of expertise and ability to communicate with me in terms I could understand. Dr. Steinlauf also has a positive, friendly attitude and personality, which made my decision to have him perform my surgery an easy one. While no surgery for a complicated ankle problem comes with a guarantee, I left my visit confident Dr. Steinlauf gives me the best chance for a positive outcome. I cannot imagine any patient leaving a visit with Dr. Steinlauf who feels differently. And if one exists, I’d say confidently it’s on them.

Everyone I dealt with was professional and caring.

I’m very happy he was able to work me into his schedule and address my chronic conditions nonsurgically and for now, no cortisone shots as I prefer not to get them. He also prescribed PT to improve and target some issues. He listened to my concerns, suggested additional inserts to improve my midfoot arthritis, and a brace for my recurrence of peritoneal tendinitis (as opposed to the boot that aggravates issues in the other foot). I’m very appreciative for the time, professionalism and care of Dr. Steinlauf and his staff. My husband was also extremely impressed.

Dr Steinlauf is very professional and explains very thing in detail.

Dr Steinlauf performed a miracle for me. I have lived in pain -having to wear high topped sneakers and boots to be able to function, High tops allowed me to tighten and support my right ankle for 10 years or more. My ankle was bone on bone and sliding back and to the right constantly grinding and in pain. I would always needed to sit down as I could not walk or stand for long periods of time. If I had to be on my feet for an event or for my job- I would have to medicate, put on an ankle brace and wear high top shoes to get through it. Then medicate when I got home so I could sleep and be able to function the next day. I researched and found Dr. Steinhoff through many other MD recommendations. Dr Steinlauf offered me an option that changed the quality of my life. Wright Medical ankle implant gave me back my mobility, eliminated my pain, and allowed me nearly complete flexion-equal to my good ankle. For the first time in over 10 years I am wearing regular Dress shoes, sneakers, crocs & flip-flops without a feeling of instability or weakness. I am able to function normally, and confidently with my new ankle. I work in a 100,000 sq ft building and I would dread walking once a day from one end to the other. Now, with my new ankle I walk the building four-six times a day- because I look forward to it.
