I was referred to Dr Komotar from Physicians Regional in Naples and was not a current patient of his. I understand that he is in the operating all day, but would have liked to meet him and discuss surgery prior to having my Craniotomy. I was so glad to meet him at my post op visit . I was very lucky to have him as my surgeon.

I appreciate the telehealth option for the follow up appointment since getting to the downtown location is difficult for me with 2 kids. The only complaint I have is the amount of money needed to be paid for the MRI

I had many surgeries in the past and have needed hospitalization for various issues. I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York and Manhattan had incredible hospitals. I must say I’ve never had a better experience both as a patient as someone who needed a surgical procedure and a hospital stay I’ve never had a better experience than I did here University Of Miami with the surgical team. It didn’t stop there from when I stepped through the doors to when I was discharged, and then after postoperatively at home, they were caring, courteous kind. I can’t explain the feeling that I received from every single person, both medical and ancillary staff throughout the hospital. The surgical team was unbelievable. They provided comfort and care they explained everything everyone was super lovely. I had the best nurses I had the best anesthesiologist and team. I had the best surgical team. I will continue on with all of the doctors at Univ University Of Miami and I live in Boca Raton, which is about an hour and a half Away by car, however I can’t say enough I’ve not had one negative experience with University Of Of Miami. They have been incredible. I mean that from my heart and I thank every single person who I came in contact with in any capacity from University Of Miami it was the best possible medical/hospital/surgical experience I’ve ever had and just as a sidebar I’m a nurse practitioner and I’ve been for 25 years. A nurse and 15 of those years were as a nurse practitioner and this is someone speaking from the inside out but as a patient the very best care I’ve ever received. Thank you.

The doctor was very kind to come out of surgery for a while and see me since I had made the appointment with a non-specialist professional in the region of my tumor. Percebo that he has a lot of experience and went straight to the point.

- 4 out of 5 starsReviewed on 8/14/2024
I liked Dr. Komotar and I know he is tops in his field, but he spent approximately 2 minutes with me and did not ask me if I had any questions and left before I had a chance to ask any questions. Fortunately, he delivered good news to me, but I still have questions. He should ask all patients if they have any questions. This was extremely disappointing, especially since I drove 2 hours to see him.
