Biography
Dr. Jones, a Hepatologist and Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine, joined University of Miami faculty in 2015. She takes a multi-pronged approach to researching disparities in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and chronic liver disease. She leads the Liver Cancer Tumor Board. She participates in multiple NIH-funded multicenter studies investigating the multilevel determinants contributing to disparities in outcomes and barriers to HCC screening. Dr. Jones is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, the American Association for Cancer Research and the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases, and the American College of Gastroenterology where she serves on the Research Committee and chairs the Health Equity Research Award committee. She is also a co-leader of the African Caribbean Cancer Consortium Liver Cancer Working Group.
