Mario G. Del Valle, MSN, FNP-C is a licensed Family Nurse Practitioner with a distinctive and accomplished background in both nursing and neurology. He brings over 17 years of nursing experience in the United States, combined with a robust medical career that began in Havana, Cuba. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Mario was a practicing neurologist, having earned his medical degree and completed his residency in neurology at the prestigious Institute of Neurology in Havana, Cuba, finishing in 1994.

Mario practiced as a medical doctor and neurologist in Cuba, specializing in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of a wide range of neurological disorders including stroke, epilepsy, neurodegenerative diseases, and neuromuscular disorders. His early medical career was marked by a dedication to scientific rigor and compassionate care—values that continue to define his clinical practice today.

After immigrating to the United States, Mario pursued a career in nursing, bringing with him a deep clinical foundation and commitment to lifelong learning. He worked in various nursing roles for over 17 years, gaining broad experience in acute care, internal medicine, and neurology-related care. In 2022, he earned his Family Nurse Practitioner degree, enabling him to return to advanced clinical practice and provide comprehensive, patient-centered care across the lifespan.

Mario is a proud member of the American Academy of Neurology and remains passionate about integrating his expertise in neurology with family medicine. His bilingual, multicultural background allows him to connect meaningfully with diverse communities. With a foundation in both medicine and nursing, Mario approaches healthcare with a blend of analytical depth, empathy, and cultural sensitivity.         Dr. Del Valle’s caring and compassionate approach is what truly sets him apart. He takes the time to listen, explain things clearly, and ensure that I understand my condition and the reasoning behind his recommendations. For example, he carefully and kindly explained why he believes I should no longer drive—something that has been very difficult for me to accept. His patience, empathy, and respect during that conversation meant a great deal to me. It’s clear that he genuinely cares about his patients’ safety and well-being, and that level of compassion makes all the difference.
