Biography
Dr. Hassanzadeh is a Professor and Vice Chair of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Miami and a nationally and internationally recognized spine surgeon. He specializes in minimally invasive and complex cervical and lumbar spine surgery, with advanced expertise in complex spinal deformity surgery.
He completed his Orthopaedic Surgery residency at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and a fellowship in spine surgery at Rush University Medical Center. He previously held leadership positions at Johns Hopkins University and the University of Virginia, including Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery, Director of the Spine Center, and Spine Fellowship Director.
A dedicated researcher and educator, Dr. Hassanzadeh has authored more than 200 peer-reviewed publications and multiple textbooks in spine surgery. He has trained residents, fellows, and research scholars from around the world and remains committed to advancing education, research, and innovation in spine surgery. He is known for providing comprehensive, compassionate, and individualized care focused on long-term outcomes.
