Biography
David Lerner attended medical school at the University of Pennsylvania and completed his Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He then completed his Rhinology and Skull Base Surgery fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania before joining the Rhinology and Skull Base Surgery division at the University of Miami. His clinical interests include inflammatory sinus disease, endoscopic skull base surgery, and treatment of benign and malignant sinonasal tumors. His research interests include olfactory dysfunction, costs of delivering Rhinologic care, and pediatric skull base surgery.

My experience with Dr. David Lerner was exceptional! I had come to him after suffering for years with chronic sneezing and runny and stuffy nose. I had been seeing another ENT for several years with no improvement and I wanted a second opinion from Dr. Lerner. Dr. Lerner came up with a completely different diagnosis and he prescribed three separate nasal sprays to attack the problem. After taking the prescribed sprays for just 24 hours, all symptoms disappeared and I remain symptom-free after six weeks. I consider myself extremely lucky to have found Dr. Lerner and the UM Doral facility. Dr. Lerner is certainly an amazing doctor and I consider the UM Doral facility exceptional!!
