Dr. Yakoub is double board certified by The American Board of Surgery in Complex General Surgical Oncology and General Surgery. He graduated Medical School at University of Cairo, Egypt; then obtained his PhD in Metabolomic Profiling of GI Cancers at Imperial College London, UK. He finished his General Surgery training in New York then completed his Complex General Surgical Oncology at University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. He was appointed as a faculty member at University of Miami, University of Tennessee in Memphis, Mayo Clinic Health System and Medical College of Georgia before being recruited back as a Professor of Surgery at University of Miami. He has numerous research publications in his field and is a member of multiple national and international surgical societies. His practice concept is based on using cutting edge treatment and techniques, providing world class compassionate and comprehensive cancer care to his patients. He is an expert in open, laparoscopic and robotic cancer surgery.
