Andres Jose Azuero Ordonez, MD

Dr. Andres J. Azuero O MD, DipABLM, specialized in Geriatric Medicine at Mayo Clinic, Rochester MN where he obtained the Outstanding Fellow award. He is passionate about medical education and was certified as a Clinician Educator at Mayo Clinic as part of his fellowship concentration track. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center, Miami FL where he was also a Chief Resident. He earned the recognition of Resident of the year on two occasions.  He obtained his medical doctor degree at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Bogota, Colombia with the highest academic distinction. He is passionate about medical education, preventative medicine, the perioperative evaluation of older adults and healthy aging. He is additionally a certified LifeStyle Medicine Physician by the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine (ABLM) to help his patients treat and prevent diseases through exercise, nutrition, sleep, stress management, avoidance of risky substances and positive social connections.
